Capstone Adaptive Learning & Therapy Centers, Inc. is proud to be the premier provider of quality care programs for persons with developmental disabilities in Northwest Florida since 1953. We continue to expand in response to the growing needs in our community.

In 2004, Capstone opened Capstone Academy – Pensacola Campus. It is the first charter school in our area to incorporate therapies with education for children from birth to five years old. The Pensacola Campus has undergone three physical expansions and served as the model for Capstone Academy – Milton

The Pensacola Campus has undergone three physical expansions and served as the model for Capstone Academy – Milton Campus which opened in early 2010. Capstone Academy is proud to provide an inclusive learning opportunity for all children, ages birth to five years, focusing on early intervention for children with developmental disabilities who are at risk of delay. Both Capstone campuses also offer after and summer school care for school-aged children with developmental disabilities.

At Capstone we strive to fulfill needs in our community by providing well planned and well executed programs, care, and facilities.

Dr. Sherry A. White
President/CEO
Capstone Adaptive Learning and Therapy Centers, Inc.

Dr. Sherry A. White has served as the President/CEO of Capstone Adaptive Learning and Therapy Centers, Inc. (f/k/a United Cerebral Palsy of Northwest Florida) since April 1991. She has nearly 35 years of experience in the nonprofit sector working for the Association of Retarded Citizens (ARC), YWCA, and Capstone.
She has an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of South Alabama in Mobile and a Masters in Public Administration from the University of West Florida. Dr. White then attended the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa where she received her Doctorate in Public Administration.
In December 2008, she received her certificate of completion for Masters Level Certified Behavioral Analysis course at the University of North Texas. She has taught at multiple universities as an adjunct professor over the past 20 years and served as a consultant for numerous organizations. Actively striving for the advancement and well being of infants, children, and students with significant disabilities in Northwest Florida, Dr. White works diligently through her service on various local, state, and national committees and boards on behalf of children with disabilities.
